Throws and cushions are both cosy and stylish - and a little care goes a long way to keep them fresh and fluffy.

Cleaning tips:

• Check the care label first - many are machine washable on a gentle, cold cycle

• Spot clean light marks with a mild detergent and soft cloth

• Avoid tumble drying for delicate or wool-blend throws -  lay flat to dry

Fluffing & reshaping:

• Give cushions a regular gentle shake or pat to maintain loft

• For feather-filled inserts, occasional airing outside helps refresh

Storage between seasons:

• Store throws and cushions in cotton or linen bags (not plastic) to let them breathe

• Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or moisture damage
